All gift packaging and gift bags (and tags) essentially use brown/white Kraft Paper and ivory board which contains an average of 70% recycled material. Our bags have no laminated gloss coatings (plastic) or glitter so they are fully biodegradable.
They are printed and assembled under ISO9001 quality control methods.
Why 70% recycled content?
You can of course buy bags made from 100% recycled material. However, you are always dependant upon the quality of waste material used. 70% is our average batch content, up to a maximum of 85%. Any higher than 85% can cause print quality issues.
Why stock recycled?
From experience we know there is demand from individuals actively looking for products made from recycled.
Recent developments in sorting and reprocessing waste paper has closed the quality and cost gap to virgin card paper.
Because of the increasing tax on landfill, Local governments are intensifying their recycled material collection activities. However, because of a shortfall in demand both local and central government are actively encouraging individuals to buy goods made from recycled.
Finally, it is good for the image of the retailer, showing respect for the environment and responsible sourcing.
In order to assist in customer awareness of our product we provide point of sale (removable) labels showing the recycled content.
